The Weight Loss Puzzle Finally Solved! Excerpts from the new e-book, just released by Drs. Frank Aieta and Diane Hayden

Trying and failing at losing weight again is just not on your mile-long list of to-do’sIlove anymore. And you’re sick of hearing “Oh! You need to go Paleo!” “Try vegan!” “OHHHH! Have you done RAW, yet??” It’s time for something new, something revolutionary, something that REALLY WORKS. This is the first book of its kind and it puts the secrets in your hands.

If you’re thinking this is just another book about weight loss…think again! This book will revolutionize the way you think about losing weight…permanently. You see successful weight loss is not about following the latest fad diet or exercise program. It’s not about eating less and exercising more or counting calories until you’re blue in the face. Successful weight loss is about WHO YOU ARE…not WHAT YOU DO. Successful weight loss happens when you finally make the decision that the person you are going to be is a healthy, fit, happy individual…and then everything else falls into place. Yes, there are factors that are critical to losing weight and keeping it off, which we’ll cover in this book – genetics, diet, nutrient deficiencies, hormone imbalances, exercise and sleep, however, all of those are secondary to you making the choice that you are going to be healthy.

That’s why the first thing we’re going to talk about is your mindset. If you don’t have the right mindset it won’t matter what you’re trying to accomplish (weight loss, career change, improve finances, happy relationship)…it’s not going to happen. If you don’t learn to understand the power of your thoughts and how they shape your life, you will forever be subconsciously battling against yourself in an effort to make lasting change.

The Power of Your Mindset

Some people say we have over 60,000 thoughts per day. While I’m not sure there is any research to back that up, and even if we had remotely into the thousands, that’s a lot of brain power. And where is all this thinking getting us….absolutely nowhere. In fact, there is substantial research that shows that our negative thoughts can even harm our body. Is it really possible to improve your health simply by how or what you think, you ask? Intuitively, we’ve all known this to be true, but now research is showing this to be the case through studies in the fields of psychoneuroimmunology and positive thinking. Researchers are finding that what we think about and the emotions related to these thoughts are critical in whether or not we develop diseases or live a long, healthy life. Research from the Mayo Clinic shows health benefits that positive thinking may provide include:

  • Weight loss
  • Increased life span
  • Lower rates of depression
  • Lower levels of distress
  • Greater resistance to the common cold
  • Better psychological and physical well-being
  • Reduced risk of death from cardiovascular disease
  • Better coping skills during hardships and times of stress

It’s unclear why people who engage in positive thinking experience these health benefits, however, one theory is that having a positive outlook enables one to cope better with stressful situations, which reduces the harmful health effects of stress on the body. In addition, positive and optimistic people tend to live healthier lifestyles…they exercise, eat healthy and engage in activities that reduce stress.

For the past twenty years, researchers have studied and found that the hypothalamus transforms a thought into neuropeptides and amino acids are released into the bloodstream. This process represents the emotion of a thought and a pattern starts to occur. As this continues over time, your cells become used to these chemical effects and actually crave them. This ultimately creates a self-fulfilling prophecy – what you think about determines who you are.

Your mind is constantly talking to you and most of the time it doesn’t have good things to say. If you spend a day or even a few hours just listening to the thoughts inside your head as if it were someone else talking to you, you’ll realize that you just might be living with a maniac. One minute your thoughts are saying one thing and the next they’ve either changed the subject or are contradicting what they just got through saying. How do we live like this? Because most of the time we aren’t even aware of the internal chatter and the effect it has on us. Most of the time we identify with this voice as if it were truly ourselves.

But it’s not. There is something deeper inside that is what we’re truly made of that goes beyond the voice in our head. Some call it consciousness or awareness; I like to think of it as our soul. If you can find that place and tap into it, I believe that is where you’ll find your true desires. The problem is that most of us never or rarely tap into it. It’s not easy as you have to get past the crazy lunatic in your head that is talking all the time. Telling you what you should or shouldn’t do, what you should or shouldn’t like, how you should feel, what you should say, it’s exhausting. Not to mention the fact that this voice can totally turn your life upside down in the blink of an eye. We have to be persistent and take the time to practice getting past it. We do this through meditation, quiet time or silent retreats. The reward is truly understanding who you are.

This is just a sample of what this book has in store for its readers. There are also chapters on weight loss and the proper lab tests to ask for before implementing a diet plan and how to interpret the results. The reader will also be guided towards which diet is truly the best for them as well as choosing the ideal dietary supplements and exercise plan. There is also an entire chapter dedicated to providing the reader with healthy recipes and meal options. The true premise of this book is for the reader to finally take their health back into their own hands by arming them with the complete knowledge to do so.
